Founder's Message

"Let the light in, instead of the heat."

President Woodrow Wilson once said, "One cool judgment is worth a thousand hasty counsels. The thing to be supplied is light, not heat." It's a line that's stayed with us — because it captures exactly what good passive design should do.

At Positive Eco, we advocate for embracing light rather than heat. By incorporating passive design features into your built environment, your project can stay comfortable for longer periods without relying heavily on artificial heating and cooling — and that's the bit we're here to help with.

With over two decades in the building industry, I've worked across HVAC systems design, energy modelling, daylight modelling, Green Star documentation and energy audits — contributing to numerous energy-efficient commercial buildings targeting high NABERS ratings, along with several J1V3 assessments. For the past seven years, my focus has shifted primarily to residential design, working as an ABSA Assessor for thermal assessments.
